Status Quo: The Philippine Agriculture is dying.
“The adoption of modern technologies in agriculture, such as the use of drones or unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) can significantly enhance risk and damage assessments and revolutionize the way we prepare for and respond to disasters that affect the livelihoods of vulnerable farmers & fishers and the country’s food security.”- José Luis Fernández (FAO Representative in the Philippines U.N)
Agriculture plays a significant role in the Philippine economy. In 2012, agriculture had a 32% share in the total employment which is roughly around 37 million Filipinos, according to the Philippine Statistics Authority . But it is dying. The agriculture sector is in dire need of extreme reforms. We strongly believe that improving the country’s agriculture performance will be the best key to inclusive economic growth.
The primary goal of our group is to provide farmers and growers with UAV technology that will drastically increase farm production while eventually decreasing dependency on the use of synthetic chemical fertilizers and pesticides with the use of organic fertilizers using foliar spraying technique to combat soil degradation. We want to create progress in the sustainable development of the country’s crop production were both farmers and the environment will benefit the most.
With the new UAV technology, it can effectively dispense granular seeds, fertilizers or pesticides on up to 4 hectares of land per hour, a task that would take 150 labors to complete. *(Operate with 10.5kg rice seeds/half hectare at 2.5m spread width, 6m/s flight speed).
A message from our Executive Director
"We want to make a difference, serving the community with the help of technology"
The use of innovative technologies in commercial applications has the potential to dramatically alter several industries, and, in the process, change our attitudes and behaviors regarding their impact on our daily lives. The emergence of drones challenges traditional notions of safety, security, privacy, ownership, liability, and regulation. With their ability to collect data and transport loads, drones are re-shaping the way we think and feel about our physical environment, thus, it is our goal to take advantage of this technology to serve the community, government & other non-profit organizations, one technology at a time.
Mr. Mukesh Menaria, MBA
Drones are overtaking the skies. You will have heard all about how drone technology is already revolutionizing various industries and sectors. But as drones become smaller, cheaper and faster, new solutions will be required to disable them. Quadgear Battle League is a first of its kind drone sports tournament that involves customized drones battling for survival inside the arena. This is a new kind of drone sports that we are initiating to give chance to those tech-savvy individuals to express their creativity in the field of drone technology while encouraging the development of counter-drone systems to provide sufficient safeguards to combat with new challenges and threats from illegal and irresponsible use of drones.
Coming in 2020.
